Patty, Thank you for such a wonderful class. It was fun and inspiring as well as being incredibly informative. My wife is very jealous as she could not attend the classes at Rainbow. You certainly bring out the best in people! Anyone who has the opportunity to take one of Patty's classes should do whatever they can to attend. I also appreciated all the hands on projects plus your experience. Mike was awesome and Rainbow Art Glass were terriffic hosts! Next time, I promise better weather! Jersey is not usually this hot and humid! Thanks again Chuck

Hi Patty. How are you??? Busy as allways I'm sure. Melanie is at Pilchuck with the Haulberg fellowship award recipients helping them cast pieces. Wonderful group. !! I am busy creating. Brad Walker contacted me with a great idea for a discussion group panel on different casting techniques for different projects for the warm glass weekend in Corning. I think it could be fantastic. I read your description of combing on your website with great interest. I have experimented with this technique in the past here in the UK but have always done this on a kiln-washed shelf. It was interesting to see that you work directly into ceramic fibre paper. In my mind this shouldn't work: surely the combing rakes 'snag' on the fibre which therefore becomes embedded in the glass? I notice that you use blunt rakes - the ones I use are pointed which is probably why I can't see this working for me. Interesting though, and I'll probably try your way in future. Your work, by the way, is exquisite. Thanks for the inspiration. (Tried to contact you by email but had it returned as undeliverable).
